About Playfuns

An independent project: free party games played by a group sharing a single phone, with no app and no signup.

Why Playfuns exists

Most online party games want you to download an app, create an account, or have every player pull out their phone and join a room. By the time everyone has managed it, the moment has passed.

Playfuns assumes the opposite: one phone, sitting in the middle of the table, passed around. You open a page, pick a game, and play. Nothing to install, no account, no email address to hand over.

What you will find here

Five games built for a group in the same room: two imposter games (one by drawing, one by spoken clue), a dilemma game, a classic icebreaker, and an emoji guessing game that also works well solo.

Every game comes with written rules, strategy tips and a FAQ, so a group that has never played can start without anyone having to explain anything.

Everything is available in French and English, with content written for each language rather than translated — the emoji puzzles and the imposter word pairs are separate banks, not the same set run through a translator.

Who makes it

Playfuns is an independent project, built and maintained by one person, with no company or team behind it. It is not a funded product — it is a site built in spare time and put online because it turned out to be useful.

The site is written in Vue and hosted on Cloudflare’s network. A few optional features — generating new dilemmas, new word pairs, or statement ideas — call an AI model on demand. They stay optional: every game works fully from its built-in content.

How the site is funded

Playfuns is free and will stay that way. There is no paid tier, no subscription, no in-app purchase, and no feature held back for anyone willing to pay.

Hosting and domain costs are covered by the advertising shown around the games. That is the site’s only business model, and the reason you see ads on some pages.

We do not sell any data, and the site asks you for no personal information. The privacy page has the details.

The site keeps changing

New games and new content banks are added regularly. If a game you want is missing, a puzzle looks wrong, or something is broken, write in — player feedback directly shapes what gets built next.
