Emojiddle: guess the phrase hidden in the emojis

A row of emojis, one well-known phrase to work out. Emojiddle is a free emoji guessing game that plays in about two minutes — solo for practice, or in a group to see who cracks it fastest.

How to play Emojiddle

  1. Start a round — Pick how many puzzles you want and, optionally, a time limit for each one. No account is needed — the game starts straight away.
  2. Read the emoji sequence — Each puzzle shows two to five emojis that, read together, describe a well-known English phrase or idiom. Read them left to right, like a sentence.
  3. Type your guess — Enter the phrase you think you recognise. Capitals, punctuation and small spelling slips are ignored, and near-misses are accepted, so you never lose a point on a typo.
  4. Compare your scores — At the end, the summary shows which puzzles you solved and which ones beat you. Play again for a better score, or hand the phone to the next player.

Tips for guessing faster

Frequently asked questions

Is Emojiddle free?

Completely. It runs in your browser with no purchase, no subscription and no account to create.

How many players do I need?

It works well solo in about two minutes. In a group, put the phone in the middle of the table and let the first person to call out the phrase take the point.

Do I need to install an app?

No. Emojiddle runs in any phone, tablet or desktop browser. You can add the page to your home screen if you want to find it faster next time.

Are the puzzles the same every game?

No. Puzzles are drawn at random from a large bank and reshuffled on every launch, so two games in a row will not look alike.

Is there a French version?

Yes, and it uses genuine French expressions rather than translations of the English puzzles. Switch language from the settings page.
